Haier has officially entered the UK television market, launching a significant new product category for the brand.

Haier has unveiled three new television series as it continues to expand its premium connected home ecosystem. The new range combines picture performance with widely recognised smart TV operating systems including Fire TV and Freely, giving consumers familiar ways to discover streaming services, live television and on-demand content.

The launch line-up centres around three core series: the QLED S90 and S80, and the 4K LED UHD K85. The range offers a tiered portfolio that spans flagship QLED performance through to accessible 4K models, with built-in Alexa voice control delivering accessibility at retail.

The S90 sits at the top of the range and is designed for consumers seeking high-end picture performance and next-generation gaming capability. Features include QLED technology with up to 93 per cent DCI-P3 colour coverage, 144Hz refresh rate with VRR support for gaming, Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ support, Dolby Atmos immersive audio, and premium metal frame design. Available in 85", 75", 65" and 55", the S90 addresses the growing demand for larger-screen home cinema displays.

The S80 combines QLED picture quality with broad size availability, featuring 4K QLED display, MEMC motion enhancement for sports and fast action, and HDR10 and HLG compatibility. Screen sizes range from 75" to 43".

The K85 series provides an accessible 4K offering with 4K Ultra HD resolution, HDR compatibility including HDR10 and HLG, and screen sizes from 65" to 43".

Steve MacDonald, Business Director for Home Energy & New Business at Haier, said: "Entering the television category marks a significant step for Haier as we continue to expand our presence across the connected home. For the retail channel, particularly independent electrical specialists, this creates an exciting opportunity to grow their AV offering with a recognised premium brand. By combining strong picture technologies, a clear good-better-best product structure and screen sizes up to 85 inches, the range has been designed to help retailers confidently meet demand for larger screens, gaming-ready performance and high-quality viewing experiences in today's connected homes."

Haier televisions are expected to hit the market in early May.
