Mr Rinder co-hosts the TV series Amazing Hotels, Life Beyond The Lobby for the BBC, and makes documentaries on history, culture and the arts, including My Family, the Holocaust and Me. Since 2022, he has guest-presented Good Morning Britain.
This year will see TRIC celebrating 54 years of the awards, and recognising the very best TV, radio and online shows, as well as Britain’s superstars and talent. Every year TRIC choses two new charities to support – this year it will be Parkinson’s UK and the 45 Aid Society.
The awards will be presented in front of a live in-person audience of over 1,000 guests, and will again be streamed, for fans to tune in and to watch all the action on a live stream or on-demand.
TRIC chair, Dan Todaro, said: “What a pleasure it is to welcome Rob Rinder as TRIC’s new president in 2023 and to host the 54th TRIC Awards, possibly the UK’s largest publicly voted TV and radio awards.
“The TRIC team and I look forward to working with Rob to create our spectacular events and raise funds for good causes on behalf of those in broadcast media, on TV, on radio and online.”
The voting lists will go live across social media and on the TRIC website (www.tric.org.uk) on April 12. Votes will be cast by members of the public and voting will be live for five weeks, so the public can choose their most-loved shows and stars from the worlds of comedy, drama, reality TV, factual, radio, news and sport.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are now available. To enquire about availability and pricing, please get in touch with TRIC director, Alexia Sciplino, at awards@tric.org.uk.
