Haier Europe has named Francesco Di Valentin as the company’s new chief business officer.
He will join the company’s senior leadership team and report directly to CEO Neil Tunstall.
Mr Di Valentin will be responsible for ensuring the business’s “zero-distance” mindset, with the goal of creating a “supplier of choice” culture with trade customers in the European markets.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Di Valentin said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to lead this new role at Haier Europe.
“It is a very strategic one, as the company is committed to pursuing its ambition to be the undisputed leader in the major appliances industry and the first consumer choice for smart home solutions.
“I will be very focused on working with the markets, the product lines and all the supporting functions to achieve and cultivate zero distance, delighting our current and future customers and consumers.”
Mr Di Valentin has more than 25 years of international experience in sales and marketing.
He replaces Jean Pascal Rey – chief commercial officer – who will leave Haier Europe on April 30.
