Two appliance brands have appointed a major spare parts specialist as their nationwide distributor to support the UK's right to repair movement.
Cookology and Iceking have announced a partnership with ASWO, considered the largest spare parts specialist in Europe, to distribute spare parts for both brands.
ASWO UK operates from a 7,400 square metre logistics centre in Coventry, making the process of identifying, pricing and procuring spare parts as straightforward as possible. Trade customers can access the ASWO online shop, which offers a complete database of manufacturer-independent spare parts and a database of engineers and repair agents.
Andrew Wright, founder of Cookology and owner of Iceking, said: "End users continue to be driven by a need to cut costs, save energy, and extend the lifespan of everyday products in the home, and so high-wear components such as washing machine drum bearings, oven heating elements, and refrigerator door seals continue to fuel retail demand for our customers. By authorising ASWO to become our new spare parts distributor, we've ensured our sister brands and products are well placed to serve real needs, and move towards a more sustainable circular economy."
Nick Viney, Head of Sales for ASWO UK, said: "We are the most trusted and reliable distributor of spare parts in the UK repair market, and partnering with Iceking and Cookology provides us with new opportunities to support trade customers with the products they need to stay ahead. Given Iceking's strong brand pedigree and Cookology becoming one of the fastest-growing appliance brands in the UK for stylish, value-driven products, we look forward to supplying their customers with essential spare parts from our logistics hub in Coventry."
